Here you see an iconic red barn on a sunny, snowy day in Page County, Virginia. In the distance is the Skyline Drive.

The Battle of Upperville took place on the banks of Goose Creek, near the town. This oil is of a warm, beautiful fall day with autumn foliage.

This is a late fall view of the south branch of the Shenandoah river in Bentonville, VA. It was photographed from an overlook in Shenandoah State Park. After viewing the photographs, I decided to capture this late October scene in oil. Here you can see the recently harvested fields and pastures as well.

I am a frequent hiker of Sky Meadows State Park, Virginia. Recently, I was hiking there and had a nice conversation with these two young men enjoying their hike, and they agreed to be photographed. After viewing the photos, I decided to paint this Summer scene.

African Lions are one of the most beloved animals in the world. They are a vulnerable and endangered species. Unfortunately, due to poachers, trophy hunters, and reduction of wildlife habitat, these lions are disappearing at an alarming rate. For this reason, I photographed these sisters and painted them in my home studio. They were seen at the Washington Zoo.

Sunflowers in late summer bloom regally and never fail to please! I photographed this amazing sunflower field and recorded in on canvas in my home studio. Enjoy!

This wonder of fall coros can be seen at McKee Besher’s Wildlife Reserve. Recently I set up with my canvas and paints as I viewed this awe-inspiring landscape en plein air.

Recently, I set up my oils, chair and painting table for a wonderful afternoon by the Shenandoah. I actually sat on the Rick’s Mud River as the water was low. There was a breeze. Two people were wearing waders and fishing nearby. The river water ripples and flistened in the afternoon sun. It was a day to remembver and I am sooo happy to record it on canvas!
